Following the completion of patent filings and portfolio development across China, the European Union, Japan, and other regions, the newly granted U.S. patent further strengthens the global intellectual property framework of the Trulybright series.
In the R&D and manufacturing of color cosmetics formulations, the stable application of pigment lakes has long been a key industry challenge. Conventional pigment lakes in certain formulation systems are prone to issues such as precipitation and color bleeding, poor dispersion, abnormal viscosity build-up, and color fading. These factors directly compromise the stability of finished cosmetic products as well as their color performance.
To address these challenges, UNI-POWDER has developed the Trulybright pigment lake powder and pigment lake slurry series, providing more efficient and more stable color solutions for cosmetic formulation development.
More Uniform Dispersion, More Complete Color Development
The performance of pigment lakes is largely determined by the dispersion state of particles within the formulation system. Conventional pigment lakes are prone to agglomeration during application, which not only increases the difficulty of dispersion but also negatively affects subsequent color development and system stability. In highly pigmented cosmetic systems, poor particle dispersion often translates into longer milling time and higher development costs.
Trulybright optimizes the interfacial properties of pigment lake particles through proprietary surface treatment technology, enabling the particles to be more easily wetted and dispersed within the system.

Inhibiting Pigment Bleeding and Enhancing Light Stability
In formulations containing water, polyols, or specific ester oils, pigment lakes are prone to migration or color bleeding due to medium interactions, leading to color loss in finished products or edge blurring.
The Trulybright series employs a proprietary encapsulation treatment to effectively lock pigment particles in place.
In a glycerin–water system pigment bleeding test, the Trulybright series demonstrates significantly improved resistance to color bleeding. Compared with untreated pigment lakes, it effectively reduces pigment leaching and migration.
5g pigment lake slurry was added to 15g of a glycerin–water solution (glycerin:water = 1:1) and left to stand for 24 hours. Pigment bleeding was evaluated by observing changes in the color of the aqueous phase.
In addition to inhibiting pigment bleeding, this series also demonstrates strong resistance to discoloration and fading induced by external light exposure. Test results show that Trulybright series pigment lakes maintain minimal color variation even after prolonged light exposure, exhibiting excellent light stability.
Samples were exposed to room temperature, elevated temperature, and light conditions for 72 hours to evaluate color fading.
